Tanks Within Buildings

Boosted Main Tank

Boosted drinking water tank.

Tanks are often present inside building to provide water for the heating systems, provide storage of water for peak demand and to ensure continuity of supply in times of mains interruption. Regular inspection and cleaning of these tanks is important to prevent the build up of harmful bacteria such as Legionella and ensure that water hygiene is maintained. These tanks can range in size from a few litres to several thousand litres and can be single piece, sectional and made from either metal or plastic.

Water Hygiene Solutions can provide professional and safe cleaning and chlorination for types and size of tanks. Utilising specialist cleaning equipment we are able to quickly clean and chlorinate tanks and refill ready for use. A full inspection report with photographs is provided detailing any problems associated with the tank and an electronic certificate of chlorination with before and after photographs is provided on completion. Microbiological sampling from an independent UKAS accreditred laboratory can also be provided for complete peace of mind. Full chlorination of the down services can be completed at the same time as the tank cleaning should there be any question over the water quality within the system and this can be done out of hours if required in order to minimise disruption.

All staff are experienced in completing work safely and with consideration for the users of the building and water system. Where water disruption is to take place staff will liaise with the client to ensure that disruption is minimised and water systems are brought back on line as quickly as possible. Where down services are chlorinated warning signs are placed on every outlet to prevent accidental use of chlorinated water.
